Rituals and well-being
Moon rituals, step by step
Simple practices to do at home for cleansing, meditation, abundance, self-love and protection, each matched to a phase of the moon. Every ritual tells you what it is for, what you need, the steps, how long it takes and any precautions. Today's moon phase is shown below, so you can pick one that fits tonight.
Full moon and new moon rituals
What is a full moon ritual?
A short, quiet practice done on the night of the full moon or a day either side. Traditionally it is a time for gratitude, release and cleansing: for example, writing down what you are thankful for and what you want to let go of, then taking a few minutes to breathe and reflect.
What is the difference between new moon and full moon rituals?
The new moon is traditionally linked to beginnings and setting intentions, and the full moon to gratitude, release and seeing things clearly. The waxing moon suits growing and building, and the waning moon suits letting go and cleansing. Some rituals in our library work in any phase.
Do I need special materials for a moon ritual?
Usually not. Many rituals use simple things like paper and a pen, salt, herbs or a candle, and each one lists exactly what you need and any safety precautions.
Can a ritual replace medical or psychological care?
No. Our rituals are for well-being and reflection. They do not replace medical, psychological or any other professional care, and we do not promise specific results.
