Your date, time and place of birth. With them we calculate the real positions of the Sun, the Moon, your rising sign (Ascendant), the planets, the houses and the aspects. If you don't know your birth time, just tick the box: we calculate the planets for noon on that day, and the reading leaves out the rising sign and the houses, which depend on the time.

It's based on your solar return: the chart for the moment the Sun returns to its exact position at your birth, which sets the themes of your coming year. An astrologer interprets it and pairs it with a tarot card for each month.

Your rising sign, or Ascendant, is the zodiac sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the exact moment and place you were born. It describes how you meet the world and the first impression you make, and it sets the houses of your birth chart. Because it changes roughly every two hours, it depends on your birth time and place.

It helps, but it isn't required. With your date, time and place of birth we calculate your Sun, Moon, Rising sign, planets and houses. If you don't know the time, just tick that option: we calculate the planets for noon on that day, and your reading leaves out the Rising sign and the houses, which depend on the time.

An Instant reading is automated: our system generates it from the meanings of our deck and the details you give us, and it's ready in a few minutes. It is not written by a person. A reading with an expert is written by hand by a member of our team and arrives within 24 hours of completing your form, or within 6 hours with Priority. If you start with an Instant reading, you can upgrade it to an expert reading by paying only the difference.

We charge in US dollars (USD) through PayPal, from any country: use your PayPal account or pay by credit or debit card in the PayPal window. We never store your card details. If your card is in another currency, your bank applies its own exchange rate.

You can request a full refund for that reading, plus the Priority fee if you bought it, by writing to us with your order number; the refund goes back to your original payment method. The delivery clock only pauses if your expert asks you for a detail and you haven't replied yet. Instant readings that have already been delivered are non-refundable, except in the case of a technical error on our side. Full details are in our terms.
